A complete nomination packet must include the
nominee’s signed acceptance form, biographical sketch, resume, color face
photo, proof of certification, UHMS membership and licensure as applicable and
a personal mission statement. All materials are to be received by 12:00 pm EST

SECRETARY REPRESENTATIVE NOMINATIONS ACCEPTANCE FORM
Secretary of the Associates Council
Requirements:
- Maintain
active UHMS Associate membership in good standing.
- Abide
by the bylaws of the UHMS.
- Currently
work in the field of hyperbaric medicine for a minimum of three years.
- Must
have the time availability and financial capability to attend two UHMS
Annual Scientific Meetings (locations vary) throughout the two-year term
to ensure active participation and appropriate Associate representation.
- Must
be willing to sign and abide by a statement of confidentiality and
professional code of conduct with the UHMS.
- Must
reveal any potential conflicts of interest and willingly abandon them.
- Serve
a two-year term.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Represent
the Associate membership on the Associates Council.
- Function
as an ambassador by meeting with and engaging Associate members to present
their ideas, encourage support and facilitate participation in order to
promote the field of hyperbaric oxygen and UHMS membership.
- Record
and document the meeting minutes from each Associate Council meeting.
- Participate
at Associates Council meetings and complete assigned projects in a timely
fashion. Submit an agenda to Council members prior to each meeting.
- Coordinate
with the Nurse and Tech Representatives for the planning and presentation
of the Associates Council and business meetings.
- Conduct
oneself in a respectful and professional manner while functioning in the
role of a UHMS Associates Council member.
- Expect
to be held accountable for one’s actions that represent behavior
unbecoming of a UHMS Associates Council member.
