Foundation

In 1997, the UHMS Executive Committee established a Research Foundation with seed money from the Society's general funds for advancement of knowledge in the basic and applied sciences of undersea and hyperbaric medicine. Although the Foundation is supported by the parent organization, which appoints the Foundation officers, the funds are administered independently of the Society. Its goal is to provide seed money for research, currently in the form of a grant. All requests will be considered for approval that fall within the Foundation means.
